1.The story behind your success.
This can be broken down into 2 past planning not giving up. Everyone has a good idea but it’s the planning that makes that idea successes or fail.
We had a plan for everything. But most importantly we had a plan for the original plan not working and a plan for the plan of the original plan not working and soon. If you believe in your idea and totally committed to your goals, it’s important that you not allow one obstacle destroy everything you believe in. There fore your planning must be methodical. You must allow some flexibility and more ways to read your goal. Not everything will go according to plan. If your working with others is a partnership or you have staff, It’s tally important that others have the some commitments to the goal as you. Everybody must move in the one direction.
Everything go wrong, and they do, if your team has the belief in what is trying to be achieved, they giving up is not an option. Having is there during the bad times is as vital as any other comportment to be successful.
So in summary, detailed, methodical planning is required. You must also plan for things going wrong. There must be total commitment from your partners and if you have the self belief in your business their you must never give up when times appear tough. that is the story behind our success.
2.How goal setting played a significant role in your professional life:
Without a goal, you have nothing . The most important thing for me was achieving the shot team goals to each you long term goal. If you don’t achieve your short term goals then it will not be possible to achieve your long term goal.
So therefore, short term goals must be set then detailed plans to achieve that goal must be done. I leant early on that when you set goals they have to be achieve able and not unrealistic ,they have to be measureable and must be done in a contain time.
Goal setting has played a significant role in my professional life because it gave me direction on where I wanted to go and it gave me a pathway on how to get there.
3.How were those goals achieved:
The goals were achieved because things were kept simple. First of all, the goals were specific and direct with a clear outcome. I was able to measure the goals to see if everything was on track and make a adjustments if needed. I put time limits on the goals. within my goals I had plan in place and tasks to achieve the goals.
Though out the process, I was able to determine my process and make adjustments where necessary and this played a vital role in achieving my goals.
4.Importance of team work in the workplace:
Is be successful , teamwork is essential. Each section or department has a role to plan and if are of those roles is not working is the same direction as others their it will have detrimental effects or the business outcomes.
As a manager of a team , it’s important to treat people as individuals , everybody is different ,but aqt the same time getting everyone to work towards the commom
5.What problems and issues they had faced and how did they overcome them:
The most common problem was plans on reaching a short term goal not being able to be achieved. To overcome this, a contingency plan ( or plan B) was put in place. Not everything goes according to plan so there need to be alternative arrangements and solutions. There have also been problems with staff issues and not meeting targets. To overcome this problem we found out what make staff member work better i.e. clear direction s, work/life balance, work unsupervised are some examples. We made staff feel comfortable, they felt more part of the team and we saw significant improvements from this type of culture. Dealing with international clients always has cultural issues so getting to learn these was vital to overcome these issues.
6. Any feedback or suggestion to the student about their future careers:
-Hardest thing for some is to work out what they want to do. Take your time and when you know what you want set a long term goal. Then set short term goals. Make sure the goals are realistic, specific and measureable.
-Make plans for everything . Failing to plan is planning to fail . Have contingency plans in place because things will go wrong.
- Analyze yourself , work out your strengths , weakness , opportunities and threat. Work on your strengths and improve your weakness.
- never give up . be prepared for some tough challenges and always maintain your self belief.
